SUY-1 is a mild steel with extremely low carbon and low impurities. This grade is specified in JIS C2504 "Soft Magnetic Irons" and is commonly referred to as "Pure Iron". SUY grades are classified from SUY-0 to SUY-3 according to their magnetic properties.
