Description nanoSUS™ is a stainless steel featuring ultrafine-grained (UFG) microstructures with average grain sizes smaller than 1 μm. Compared with conventional materials, improvements can be achieved in strength, fatigue performance, spring properties, and workability through precise microstructure control.

nanoSUS™ 301 is manufactured using SUS301 raw material, enabling high-strength tempers such as EH. The ultrafine-grained structure is expected to provide:
  • Improved fatigue properties
  • Enhanced spring performance
  • Higher strength compared with conventional grain structures
  • Better workability through microstructure optimization
