FS-1 is our proprietary steel grade, is a ferritic stainless steel derived from the typical steel grade SUS430. By adding Nickel. Despite being a ferritic stainless steel, FS-1 possesses a certain level of strength and corrosion resistance, it can be used as an alternative to SUS304 in general environmental conditions.

Main features of FS-1:

Better formability than SUS430: It has sufficient formability compared to SUS430, and high precision stamping is possible without drawing cracks.
Equivalent strength to SUS304: FS-1 can achieve hardness up to HV330 and tensile strength up to 1100 MPa (equivalent to SUS304-3/4H) with full hard finish.
Little of no impact from Nickel price fluctuations: The low Nickel content of 1%, makes it virtually unaffected by fluctuations in Nickel price, enabling stable cost control.

FS-1 | High-Performance Ferritic Stainless Steel :

FS-1 is a proprietary ferritic stainless steel developed from the widely used SUS430 grade. By incorporating a small amount of nickel, FS-1 achieves an improved balance of formability, strength, and corrosion resistance while maintaining the economic advantages associated with ferritic stainless steels.

Although ferritic stainless steels are generally lower in cost than austenitic grades, they often have limitations in formability and strength. FS-1 addresses these challenges by offering enhanced processing characteristics and mechanical performance, making it a practical alternative to SUS304 for many general environmental applications.

With only approximately 1% nickel content, FS-1 is minimally affected by fluctuations in global nickel prices, enabling more stable material costs and procurement planning.
