| Description | NCH-2 is a nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) high-resistance alloy equivalent to DIN NiCr6015 and is also known as ISA-CHROM 60. It is designed for electrical resistance applications requiring reliable performance at elevated temperatures and under continuous operating conditions. While its overall performance is somewhat lower than that of NCH-1 (NiCr8020), NCH-2 still offers a favorable combination of electrical resistivity, low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), and excellent mechanical toughness. The alloy exhibits outstanding heat resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for long-term service in electrical and thermal applications. Typical applications include resistors, temperature sensors, fuses, heating elements, and other resistance components where stable electrical characteristics and durability are required. Due to its nickel-chromium composition, brazing and soldering characteristics are generally inferior, and specialized joining methods may be required depending on the application. |
