| Description | Permalloy B (PB) is a nickel–iron alloy containing approximately 45% nickel, also known as 45% Permalloy. It exhibits excellent soft magnetic properties that are superior to conventional electromagnetic steels, making it suitable for precision magnetic applications. However, due to the absence of chromium, its corrosion resistance is lower compared to stainless steels such as 18-8 grades. As a result, it is typically used in controlled environments where high magnetic performance is required and corrosion exposure is limited. |
