Description MB-1 is a proprietary high-carbon steel grade developed specifically for textile machinery applications where exceptional durability, wear resistance, and fatigue strength are required. The material is based on a composition equivalent to DIN 1.1274 and contains approximately 1.0% carbon.

MB-1 was designed to withstand continuous high-speed operation over extended service periods. Through strict control of metallurgical structure and manufacturing processes, the material achieves superior cleanliness and performance compared with conventional converter-produced carbon steels.

The optimized microstructure contributes to excellent fatigue resistance, allowing components to endure repeated cyclic loading without premature failure. At the same time, its high carbon content provides outstanding wear resistance, making it ideal for parts subjected to constant friction and contact.

Main Features:
  1. High Carbon Steel (~1.0% Carbon)
Provides excellent hardness potential and wear resistance for demanding industrial applications.
  2. Superior Fatigue Resistance
Carefully controlled metallurgical structure improves resistance to cyclic stress and long-term operational fatigue.
  3. Excellent Wear Resistance
Designed for applications involving continuous contact, sliding, and abrasion.
  4. High Material Cleanliness
Enhanced steel cleanliness reduces inclusions and improves reliability compared with conventional carbon steel production methods.
  5. Optimized for Continuous High-Speed Operation
Suitable for machinery components operating under severe production conditions for extended periods.
  6. Textile Industry Focused Material
Specifically developed for knitting machinery and textile equipment requiring exceptional durability and precision.
MB-1 is widely used for knitting needles, knitting machine components, textile machinery parts, and other precision wear components where long service life, dimensional stability, and resistance to fatigue and wear are critical performance requirements.
