| Description | Edge treatment is an additional processing step applied to standard slit-edge strip materials. It can be supplied as: • Deburred edge (removal of burrs generated during slitting) • Round edge (edge corners and burrs are rounded) This processing enables direct use of strip edges in precision applications without additional finishing. By smoothing the edges, fatigue failure originating from edge stress concentration is reduced, significantly improving spring durability and long-term reliability. Definitions: • Slit Edge: Standard edge obtained after slitting • Deburred Edge: Burrs removed using mechanical filing or finishing • Round Edge: Burrs and shear drop zones are fully rounded into an arc or corner radius shape |
