| Description | SK95M (formerly known as SK4) is a high-carbon tool steel containing approximately 0.95% carbon. It is one of the most widely used cold-rolled carbon steels due to its excellent balance of workability, hardenability, performance, and cost effectiveness. Compared with lower-carbon grades such as SK85, SK95M offers higher hardness potential and superior hardenability, making it suitable for applications requiring greater wear resistance, higher strength, and improved durability. Most SK-series carbon tool steels are heat treated either before or after forming to achieve the desired mechanical properties. SK95M responds exceptionally well to quenching and tempering, enabling manufacturers to obtain high hardness and excellent edge retention. TOKKIN maintains an optimized surface roughness condition that supports high-quality heat treatment results and enables an ideal final surface finish after blackening processes. Main Features:
