| Description | S20C is a low carbon steel with a carbon content of about 0.20%. Because of its low carbon content, its strength is lower than that of medium carbon steels such as S45C, and normal quenching hardly increases the strength. However, carburizing and quenching treatments are possible to improve surface hardness. |
