| Description | MANGANIN® is a copper-manganese-nickel resistance alloy widely used for precision electrical resistance applications. It is known for its very stable resistance characteristics over time and temperature. The alloy offers a very low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), making it highly suitable for precision measurement and instrumentation applications where long-term stability is critical. MANGANIN® provides good workability and weldability, allowing it to be formed into various precision components. However, its corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are relatively poor, so protective measures may be required depending on the environment. Typical applications include precision resistors, shunt resistors, temperature sensors, and electrical measurement instruments. *MANGANIN® is a registered trademark of Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG. |
